Day 1 Izmir – Pamukkale
Meet and enjoy a drive through the Turkish countryside to Pamukkale / Hierapolis. Reaching there
by noon and following lunch, tour of the ruins of Hierapolis Ancient City which was founded by Pergamum King Telephons and named after his wife Hiera. Then explore Pamukkale (Cotton Castle), a World Heritage site, made up of fascinating white terraces and pools created by calcareous hot spring waters descending over cliffs have created fascinating travertines in the form of white terrace and basins. Overnight in Pamukkale.
Day 2 Pamukkale – Aphrodisias – Izmir
After breakfast, departure from the hotel and drive to Aphrodisias Ancient city. Aphrodisias as one of the most attractive ancient cities in Anatolia. The history of the city dates back to 5800 BC. Aphrodisias flourished as an important religious center and agricultural city, but it was also
known as a center of the arts, letters and other intellectual and scientific pursuits. The Temple to Aphrodite, dating back to at least as the 7th century BC, was converted into a Christian
basilica in the mid 5th century AD. We will visit the well preserved Roman Stadium, Temple of Aphrodite, Odeon, Baths and see marvelous sculptures in the museum. Drive back to Izmir.
